In addition to talking about your sex life, we will discuss your life circumstances, relationship patterns, and how you think and feel about things. I will help you to identify self-care strategies that support your goals. It is often helpful to talk about past difficulties to understand how they continue to impact you in subtle or not so subtle ways. If you want things to change, you need to do things differently. I offer education, support, and accountability as you gain a deeper understanding of yourself, expand your comfort zone, and work to make positive changes in your life. Sessions are most productive if you come prepared to talk about what is most meaningful to you and are willing to do follow-up work in between sessions. Sessions are held in person in Roanoke or online.

Getting started
Individual counseling sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place weekly or every two weeks.
Some people seek me out for targeted support with a short-term issue and find resolution within a few months. Others choose to do deeper, longer-term work with me. I want to help you reach your goals as quickly as feels comfortable to you. Therapy should not be a mystery. We will talk regularly about how things are going and where our work is headed. I love to help people graduate from therapy when they experience the benefits of their dedication and hard work!
Step 1: Free consultation call
Schedule a video or phone call to tell me a little about why you are seeking therapy. I will listen to your concerns, answer your questions, and let you know whether I think I can help.
Step 2: First 50 minute session
I will send you a link to complete some paperwork before we meet. During our first session, we will talk about your history and your current goals. We will get a feel for one another and decide whether we’re a good fit to work together. If either of us decides that we’re not a good fit, I’m happy to offer other recommendations.
Step 3: Ongoing 50 minute sessions
We will schedule a standing weekly or every other week time slot for ongoing therapy. We can meet in person in my beautiful office in Roanoke, or online from the comfort and privacy of your own home. We will check in regularly about progress toward your goals and conclude therapy when you are satisfied with what you have achieved.
